Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 27, 2026

1. Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the Rise health and wellness app (“Rise,” “we,” or “us”) collects, uses, and handles your information when you use Rise. We aim to be straightforward about what we collect and why, so you can make informed choices.

By using Rise, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Effective Date

This Privacy Policy is effective as of September 27, 2026. We may update it from time to time as described below.

3. Who We Are / About Rise

Rise is a supportive, non-shaming health and wellness tracking application that brings together nutrition, activity, sleep, cycle, mental wellness, and community features. If you have questions about this policy, you can reach us through the in-app Support option under your Profile.

4. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly (such as when you create an account or complete onboarding), information generated as you use Rise (such as logs and entries), and technical information needed to operate the service. The categories below describe what we currently collect.

5. Account Information

We collect your first and last name, a preferred name, your email address, a public username, your date of birth (used to personalize guidance), and an optional profile photo. You may optionally provide your country, region, city, and postal code. Your email is used for account access, support, and billing. Your private name and email are not used as your public community identity.

6. Health and Wellness Information

To provide Rise’s tracking features, you may choose to log health and wellness information such as body signals and symptoms, sleep, mood and mental check-ins, medications and vitamins, bowel patterns, care tasks, and uploaded health records. This information is associated with your account and is accessible only to you unless you choose to share it.

7. Nutrition and Activity Information

You may log meals, nutrition estimates, water intake, fasting sessions, meal plans, meal-prep batches, and workouts or activity. If you use food scanning, a photo of your meal may be analyzed to estimate nutrition. This information helps personalize your experience and is stored with your account.

8. Cycle and Reproductive Wellness Information

If you choose to use cycle tracking, Rise stores information you enter such as flow level, cramps, mood, energy, sleep quality, symptoms, discharge, digestion, intimate drive, and notes. Cycle and reproductive information is private by default and is not shown to other users.

9. Photos, Files and Camera Use

Rise uses your device camera or photo selection only when you take an action that requires it — such as scanning a meal, attaching an image to a Peachy message, adding a progress photo, or attaching a file to a health record. Granting camera or photo permission does not by itself mean Rise collects or stores anything; we only receive the image or file you choose to submit.

Health record documents you upload are stored with private, signed access tied to your account. Meal photos, images shared with Peachy, and progress photos are stored in app-managed storage and may be retrievable through a link. Progress photos are private by default and are only shown to others if you explicitly choose to share them on your achievement profile.

Community images you post to Townhall are visible to other Rise users as described in the Community section.

10. Location Information

Rise may request your device location only after you take an action (such as tapping “Use my location”) and grant permission, to help find nearby care resources. Precise coordinates may be used transiently to derive your country, region, city, and postal code; Rise does not retain your precise GPS coordinates. Only the derived location fields you confirm are stored on your account, and your location is never shown on your public profile.

11. Community / Townhall Information

Townhall is Rise’s community space. Posts, comments, images, audio, your @username, and other content you choose to share in Townhall may be visible to other Rise users. Please avoid sharing sensitive personal information in Townhall. You can edit or delete your own posts and comments, and you can report or block content or users.

12. Peachy AI and AI-Powered Features

Rise offers AI-powered features including the Peachy assistant, food photo analysis, smart recipe search, meal-plan suggestions, and wellness reports. To provide the feature you request, these features may process relevant information from your account — which may include your preferred name, wellness goals, dietary preferences, allergies, activity preferences, fasting interest, cycle tracking preference, medications, body signals, sleep, meals, activity, and the message or image you provide.

This information is processed by AI to generate your requested response and is not anonymized or de-identified before processing. Conversations with Peachy are not stored in your account beyond the activity needed to operate the feature. To avoid having information processed by an AI-powered feature, do not submit it through that feature.

13. How We Use Information

We use your information to provide and personalize Rise features, to remember your preferences and entries, to send reminders you request, to provide support, to maintain account security, to prevent abuse, and to operate and improve the service. We do not sell your personal information.

14. Service Providers and Third Parties

Rise relies on service providers to operate the service. The categories below describe what information each category may process and why:

  • Cloud hosting, infrastructure, and data-storage providers — host the app, store your account and wellness data, and provide authentication and data storage so Rise can function.
  • Analytics and service-improvement providers — process usage analytics (such as feature interactions and login events) to operate and improve Rise. You can opt out under Settings → Privacy & Data.
  • Subscription-management providers — verify your subscription status and manage entitlement access for paid features.
  • Payment and app-store providers — process purchases, subscription billing, and payment verification when you subscribe through an app store or other payment provider.
  • AI service providers — process the AI-powered feature requests described above, which may include relevant wellness information (such as goals, dietary preferences, allergies, activity, sleep, cycle preferences, medications, body signals, and the message or image you provide) when you choose to use an AI-powered feature.
  • Mapping and location-data providers — transiently convert coordinates to location fields when you choose the location option.
  • Third-party account sign-in providers — offer optional sign-in through a third-party account you already use.

These providers process information only as needed to deliver their services and are bound by their own privacy and security commitments. Rise does not sell your personal information.

15. Subscriptions and Payments

Rise does not store your full payment-card credentials. Purchases, subscriptions, and payment verification are processed through applicable payment providers and app stores. Rise receives confirmation of your subscription status (such as whether access is active) and limited billing metadata, not your card details.

16. Analytics and Technical Information

Rise collects usage analytics (such as feature interactions and login events) to operate and improve the service. You can turn usage analytics off in Settings → Privacy & Data; the change takes effect the next time you open Rise. We do not describe our analytics as “anonymous” because we cannot verify that characterization for every event.

17. Public vs. Private Information

Your private account and health information — including your first name, last name, preferred name, email, date of birth, location, and all health and wellness logs — is not shown to other users. In Townhall, your public identity is your @username. If you have not set a username, a neutral @riser handle is used. Information you voluntarily post to Townhall may be visible to other Rise users.

18. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, and maintain security records. Rise does not currently define fixed retention periods for every data type. If you delete your account, we remove your information as described below, subject to limited exceptions.

19. Account Deletion

You can delete your account from Settings. Deletion removes your Rise account and the personal data and entries associated with it across Rise’s features, including community posts and comments you created.

Certain records may remain after deletion, including: administrative audit and access-override records kept for security and administration; files you uploaded to app-managed storage (which are managed by the platform and may persist even after their references are removed); and information held by external services such as payment providers and app stores. Infrastructure backups and security logs may also take time to expire.

Deleting your Rise account does not automatically cancel a subscription purchased through an app store, subscription-management provider, or another external provider. You must cancel external subscriptions through the applicable store or subscription settings to avoid future charges.

20. Access, Correction and Export

You can view and edit much of your information within Rise’s features, and you can update your profile details in Account settings. You can export your data from Profile → Save & Export Data. You can delete your account as described above. You can also adjust optional preferences such as notifications, marketing updates, and whether Peachy is visible.

21. Security

We use access controls and security measures designed to help protect your information, including authenticated access, server-side authorization, row-level restrictions on your data, and audit logging for administrative actions. No electronic system or method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

22. Children’s / Age

Rise is not intended for young children. Your date of birth is collected during onboarding to personalize guidance. A specific minimum age requirement for Rise will be confirmed before App Store submission and reflected here; if you believe a child has provided information to Rise, please contact us through Support so we can remove it.

23. International Processing / Service Providers

Rise and its service providers may process and store your information in countries other than your own. By using Rise, you acknowledge that your information may be processed in those locations under the practices described in this policy.

24. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Rise evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the Effective Date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of Rise after a change means you accept the updated policy.

25. Contact / Privacy Questions

If you have privacy questions or requests, contact us through the in-app Support option under your Profile. A dedicated privacy email address will be added once confirmed by the app owner.
